We, at Athletic Points believe that performance on the athletic field is based on several factors. Preparation, preparation, preparation, is our motto! Obviously training is of first and foremost importance. However, if the athlete is properly prepared for the event yet doesn’t have the proper gear before hand they are not as apt to perform at their top most level.
Have you ever watched a Track & Field event where the athlete is properly trained, performs their warm-up exercises, then proceeds to waddle to their venue on the heals of their spikes, much like a duck? This idea is where Athletic Points was born. We have developed a way for the athlete to warm-up then walk properly to their venue with the ease of our Spike Guards. Our Spike Guards allow the athlete to keep their muscles loose and ready to run or jump on the track & field.
Spike Guards are a product designed to help athletes perform at their upmost best. The soles of the Spike Guards are made from a durable rubber material which is slip resistant and will protect the integrity and sharpness of the spikes as an athlete walks from venue to venue even while walking across surfaces such as concrete. The upper (top) fabric is a rubber based fabric with tremendous elasticity principles. It has just the right amount of elasticity to securely hold the Spike Guards on the athletes shoe while still allowing ease in putting the Spike Guards on and off quickly. Our Spike Guards accommodate spikes up to 3/8 inch in length.
We also hope that you find our Spike Guards to be a valuable asset to your athletes being SAFE on the athletic field, and preventing spike accidents. We have personally witnessed several spike accidents where athletes have been injured, some accidents severe enough to radically alter the athletes track career. Our aim is that in athletes wearing the Spike Guards during “down time” these accidents can be avoided.
